Put Your Spare Domain Names To Work For You Using Affiliate Programs.
Every website owner/operator is familiar with affiliate programs, we all belong to one or more, or have at one time, and display banners and buttons on our websites offering anything from a credit card to viagra, Which is completely fine for attracting perspective buyers to products that your affiliate sponsors offer. There's no crime in earning a little revenue to support your website and your hard work designing, developing and supporting it.
But if you're like me at all, you have a few domain names sitting around doing nothing too. It occurred to me that having the domain names listed for sale has generated little or no revenue, but every year I renew them because I think that they are good domain names and have marketing potential if put into the right hands.
So I decided to do a little research and find out what affiliate programs were out there that offered more than buttons and banners, and I found that there are a number of affiliate companies that offer RSS feeds and Data Feeds and even some offer complete "Turn-key" websites already built for you, download an asp or php version of the Turn-Key site to put on your own server and you're good to go. Point your domain name to it, and you're offering a service or product that people have a use for, just go about your normal marketing practices for the site(s).
So I looked at what domain names I owned and wasn't using, thought about what types of affiliate programs they would lend themselves to, which in my case was easy, and I did some research. I had 3 domain names reserved and no websites for them, http://SongOasis.com, http://Gear-Junkie.net and http://ArtistMatch.com. They were at one time active websites but hadn't been in service for quite some time, so considering they were domains pertaining mostly to music or media, I started my search there. I discovered that there were more than a few music based affiliate programs available which required an investment in time doing a little digging through.
I narrowed my search to those affiliate programs offering "Data Feeds". These are feeds that come in the form of XML or RSS feeds, as well as Text or CSV files that the affiliate would make available to you to download and use how you see fit, with some restrictions of course. Researching those affiliate programs I found that these feeds would provide all of the information, or at least much of it to the same extent as the affiliate website themselves. Which to me meant that I could build a dynamic website offering some great things in a way the I controlled without having to maintain an inventory or process payments or handle returns and deal with any billing issues should they arrise.
So… I decided for my http://Gear-Junkie.net domain to go with musical instrument sales through http://Zzounds.com, and offer over 4000 musical instruments online. Being a musician myself, this sounded appealing to me. For http://SongOasis.com I went with a great program from Rhapsody which offers real time feeds in xml format so my site is updated everyday with the latest artist and music releases everyday with no additional work on my part after building the site. And Finally for http://ArtistMatch.com I went with an affiliate program by http://CDUniverse.com. This program provided Data Feeds for over 40,000 items where you can shop online for music CDs, movies and games.
I've also cross referenced each of the sites with my own banners promoting the other sites from within my sites so that visibility to all of the affiliate programs is blended throughout the 3 websites which is helpful in generating sales if not traffic. So if you are sitting on a few domain names and would like to put them to work for you, try researching some of the affiliate programs out there that offer these type of data feeds and see if you can use them to your advantage as well.

Why is Viagra covered by health insurance but mammograms no longer?
Unless a woman's mother or sister has had breast cancer, insurance companies will no longer cover mammograms for early detection yet they cover expensive Viagra just so a guy can get a hard-on. Why the double standard? Birth control and abortions are also not covered for women along with some other services but men still can get prostate exams covered.

There is a lot of talk about Hoodia. But with all these info on internet do you know if it it really works.
Hoodia Gordinii comes from a cactus plant in the kalahari desert in South Africa and Namibia. People there suck on the plant and they feel less hungry and thirsty.
Some scientists have located the molecule responsible of this effect and they gave the name P57. The absorption of the Hoodia Gordinii gives the same effect than the glucose but with a stronger effect. I have read a few times this information but I have not sure about it: Hoodia Gordinii have an effect 2,000 more stronger than the glucose. A satiety signal is sent to the hypothalamus and the appetite is really lower.
In fact some serious studies have been done by the Dutch food conglomerate Unlever and Phytopharma a daughter company of the US well known pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Most of the candidates have noticied instead of consuming what they normally do their calories where about in half.
The result to lose weight is quite good but it is not specified what king of Hoodia was used and it is quite good to know:
- There are other Hoodia plants but only the Hoodia Gordinii has this effect
- The Hoodia supplements are not regulated by the F.D.A. (Food and Drug Administration)
- Only the Hoodia dex-l-10 has a permit from the department of agriculture in South Africa and claiming this it is genuine Hoodia Gordinii
NOW HERE IS THE TRICK. Like the Hoodia Gordinii extract is quite expensive, some manufacturers of those pills use other Hoodia extracts (from other Hoodia plant). In this case those pills don’t contains this P57 molecule and they are therefore without any effect. They only specify Hoodia in their article and product. In this case, drop it. YOU ARE JUST IN FRONT OF MANUFACTURERS WITHOUT ANY SCRUPLE.
But when it is as well mentioned Hoodia Gordinii I am quite scrupulous and suspicious. Are you very sure those products contain the real Hoodia Gordinii ??? There perhaps are a few correct companies but who knows. I have for you a few advices in this internet jungle:
- Internet pharmaceutical portals which are selling other products like valium, cialis, viagra, just drop it. They are only there to make profit and there are quite specialized to spam people in an huge way
- Compare the price of different Hoodia Gordinii pills. As the Hoodia Gordinii Extract is quite expensive, the genuine Hoodia Gordinii pills can’t be too cheap
- For the time being, only the Hoodia dex-l-10 can give the security that real Hoodia Gordinii is used. Or let me know if you know other correct manufacturers with the righ proof

Amazing Places Around Panama City
Ever since the discovery of Panama and the nearby Pearl archipelago in 1513 by Vasco Nunez Balboa, Panama is steeped in history with many yet to be explored islands inhabited by indigenous people. Many of them live in deep jungles and are still maintaining their age old culture and customs untouched by the modern world. Some of these communities are the Emberas in Darien and Chagres River National Park, Ngobe – Bugle of the Chiriqui, Bocas and Veraguas provinces and Kunas in San Blas. Just 40 minutes drive from Panama City is the Chagres River National Park containing some of the most pristine rain forests in the world. One has to travel by canoe along the Chagres River to meet the Emberas community. Guided tours are available for tourists interested in visiting them and know about their tradition and culture. They can stay one whole day with the community. The villages are surrounded by thick luscious green vegetation and clear water. The weather here is typical tropical weather, warm and humid.
The folks in the village are traditionally dressed in colorful loin cloths with the women in skirts and jewelry made of coins and other metals on top. They have their bodies painted in vegetable ink called “jagua”. They live in huts made of straw and built on stilts. The main occupation of these communities is agriculture, fishing, handicraft and tourism. The women folk make beautiful straw bowls and plates from the locally available trees and dye them with vegetable ink to make them look colorful. The forest is home to a variety of unique herbs and medicinal plants from which the community prepares medicines right from healing wounds, treating skin diseases to native equivalent of Viagra. The tourists are also treated with the special lunch made of fresh fish and fried platanos, the fruit of a native plant. The visitors are also entertained with traditional dance and music of the Emberas community at the end of the guided tour.

Treatment Options: Primary Pulmonary Hypertension
Currently, there are only two types of treatment for those individuals afflicted with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. One is specific drug medications, and the other is lung transplants. Let's take a look at both types of treatment options.
There are a number of drugs which can help individuals suffering with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. Although it must be noted that not every drug may work, and may have side effects which may involve changing dosage or opting for other drugs until the proper one is found to work. If you have been diagnosed with PPH by your PPH specialist, he will no doubt perform a catheterization to determine which drugs are appropriate for you.
The following drugs are currently available and/or being further studied:

Those who have had lung transplants are required to take medications for life in order to reduce their body's immune system's ability to reject the new organ.
Unfortunately, there is no treatment that can stop the progression of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, however, the existing treatments can aid in slowing the disease's progression and improve an individual's quality of life. Treatment, therefore, is critical because without it, patients live less then five years.
This is why seeking a PPH specialist is so important.
While new studies on the treatment of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension are on-going, it is necessary to mention not only the cost of treatment, but the determining factor which caused PPH in the first place.
